My name is James. I was born in Okinawa, Japan. I have lived in Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Hiroshima, Kobe, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and now in Seattle. I am a husband to a superhero of a woman. I am the father to three incredible boys.
I am a high school drop out, but a college grad. However, I have learned more from life, conversations, and the worlds opened up to me through books, than I ever did within the walls of a classroom.
Reading is my air. I don’t go anywhere without a book.
I was raised to question things, so that is what I do.
I believe happiness is continuous growth.
I write because it gives me life. I am a regular contributor on Thrive Global, Poets Unlimited, and The Writing Cooperative. I am also the founder of Run for Innocence, where we are working to fight against the evils of childhood sexual abuse.
